Jamz Supernova spent her childhood dancing for hours in the living room with her mum, her dad turning up the music so loud she could feel the bass radiate from the windows. It was the beginning of the multi-faceted UK creative’s work as a sonic sorceress, foreshadowing her rise as a label head, radio host, DJ, podcaster, and formidable tastemaker. Broadcasting for over a decade, she is known best for her slots on BBC Radio 1Xtra, BBC 6Music, and Selector Radio where her trendsetting selections light up audiences of over 4 million global listeners. Off the airwaves, Jamz’s seminal label Future Bounce releases stand-out records from the likes of Bianca Oblivion and Giulia Tess, and recently from South Africa’s own Rose Bonica, BŪJIN, and Jumping Back Slash, while her vibrant sound-system inspired DJ sets have made her a mainstay at festivals and clubs worldwide.
