Aaron.P is a Cape Town based cultural curator whose inherent love for music has seen him create a lucky packet of work. Starting out as a manager and booking agent for some of the country’s most exciting artists, he’s since dedicated himself to South Africa’s various music scenes for over a decade. He’s the co-founder of The Other (responsible for producing legendary leftfield dance party “SWIM”), The Other Records (Cape Town’s obvious choice for less obvious records), and The Other Radio where he is the lead programmer. He ran a monthly radio show on the UK based radio station Worldwide FM, focusing on new South African music and is a co-programmer for Cape Town’s One Park listening bar. He has been involved with Search Festival from its inception as its incredible music director. (He hopes you’ve enjoyed them)! As a selector, it’s hard to categorise Aaron.P. His broad taste spans from Jazz to Techno, Folk to Gqom, making him somewhat of a dynamic variety special. Recently, he’s been enamoured by soft and fuzzier sounds - something to combat the chaos.
